Just thought I'd share a few pics of Posey with you since it seems as though she isn't getting her share of the limelight.

Ten Bucks
This morning I snuck out to a few garage sales while Jason was home with the kids. We were in desperate need of fall/winter clothes for Noah. He grew so much over the summer that the clothes he was wearing earlier this year were 2 inches too short! It's crazy just how fast kids grow. As I left the house on my way to the bank, I prayed that I'd be lead to the right garage sales where I could find Noah some clothes. I passed a sign for a sale in my own neighborhood but kept going because I needed to hit the bank first and planned on hitting up that sale on my way back home. Well, after finding LOTS of other sales and no clothes I had decided that I'd just head back to the house and go out again next weekend. Just up the road from my house, I hit the mother load :) They had lots of clothes in the exact size that I needed for Noah (4T in pants and 3T in shirts) and they were all Gap, Old Navy, Children's Place, Gymboree, or Ralph Lauren! I was SO excited. For $10 I was able to get Noah 3 pair of pants, 6 shirts, and 1 hoodie! Thank you, Jesus!

Chicken or Egg?
Tonight I was cooking one of my favorite meals for supper....breakfast! I love eating breakfast foods any time of the day! I was making scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy. As I cracked my first egg, this is what I saw.
What in the world?!? I still throw up a little in my mouth when I look at this picture. Out of the millions of times I've cracked eggs in my life, not once have I ever had one like this.
The Big Brother
I just walked into Noah's room where I find Noah and Kendall sitting at the table reading books. Kendall's book was upside down. Noah takes Kendall's book and turns it the correct way for her. As he hands it back he says, "No, no, no. Okay, sweetheart?"
4 Weeks and a New 'Do
Yesterday was the 4 week 'birthday' of Posey. On one hand, I can't believe it's been 4 weeks but then on the other hand, I can't believe it's only been 4 weeks! Things are going great and we are all pretty much adjusted to having another tiny human being in our family! She is changing everyday and is really starting to fill out. I'm still nursing, which is a miracle in and of itself! I was not able to nurse Noah and Kendall for long at all. (Noah for about a month and Kendall didn't even last 2 weeks!)

This weekend we are having family pictures done. I can't wait! I am the designated picture taker in my family and so I'm hardly ever in pictures. With that said, the last picture with all of us in it was taken last July when Kendall was only a few months old (and of course, Posey wasn't even a wink at that time). Hopefully, they'll turn out good and I can share them with you soon.

I have been planning on getting my hair cut for a while now. It seems to be 'the thing to do' for me. Have a cute hairstyle. Get pregnant. Let hair go/grow. Have a baby. Chop hair. Etc. So, it was time to chop it again! I researched different hairstyles and cuts and found a picture to take to the stylist when I went. The picture was from a hairstyles magazine which explains exactly what the hair style is and how to cut it, etc. That way the stylist wouldn't have to guess at how it's cut. I thought I had covered all my bases. I have had way too many BAD hair cuts in the past. Actually, let me put it this way. I have only had my hair cut 1 (maybe 2) times where I've walked out of the salon feeling great and loving my hair cut! I was hoping that this experience would be added to the 'feel great' category.
Here's what I wanted my hair to look like:

Here's how it turned out....nothing like the picture except short. Is there a stylist out there that can actually cut someones hair based on a picture?? How hard can it be? Especially when it tells you exactly what the hairstyle is!! Apparently, I haven't learned my lesson and now I'll have to let my hair grow again until it is super ratty and I can't stand it any longer. That's the progression, right? Now without further aDO....

Monday Take 2...er, Tuesday
Is anyone else having a "Monday" today? It seems as though everything I do seems to be taking twice as long and is twice as difficult! I'm not sure what is going on but these three sweet offspring of mine have been driving me bonkers!
Note: Kendall is growing up so fast! She wore her hair in a ponytail for the first time yesteday. Hence the funny business going on in this picture!

I'm ashamed...
...I've not been blogging but not because I have a newborn, a 17 month old, a 2 and 1/2 year old, and am in school. Those all play a small role. However, I have a new addiction. I fought it off for a long time now and it seems the more I fight, the stronger the pull. More and more of my friends are doing it which makes it all the more addicting. I have to admit I've been cheating on blogger....with Facebook. It's not Blogger. It's me. Seems as though most of the people who are on my blog roll are all FBing more than blogging. So, I've been keeping up with them there. I'm ashamed and I'm so sorry. So, let me catch you up on what's going on with us.
Posey will be 3 weeks on Monday! She is doing well. We are on a good schedule with her eating. The sleeping part we are still working on! She loves to be held and will currently only sleep in her bouncer or if she's being held. I took her to the doctor for her newborn check and she weighed 9 lbs 3 ounces, which is 1 whole pound (that's A LOT to gain in that short of time) more than her discharge weight of 8lbs 3 oz. Needless to say, her pediatrician was VERY pleased with this. He was not so pleased with the fact that I was not taking prenatal vitamins (which I didn't take during or after ANY of my other pregnancies either!).
Kendall has been a little on the moody side these last few weeks! Her little attitude has making quite an appearance. I think she knows that she's lost the 'baby' status and now feels the need to FIGHT for my attention and affection. I also took her in to the doctor for a check up yesterday, in which she weighed 27 lbs and is 33 inches tall! She's only 17 months old and is taller than (or maybe as tall as) her cousin who is over a year older than she is! Kendall is talking up a storm and adds words to her vocabulary daily. I tried to make a list of all the words she can say and the running total now is in the 40's.
Noah has been a HUGE help lately. He takes care of Kendall for me. He is careful not to tattle on Kendall but instead comes and asks me if I've seen Kendall anywhere or what Kendall is doing. It's pretty funny. He is adjusting very well to Posey. Yesterday, as I was nursing Posey, Noah and Kendall were standing on the couch and kept hitting the wall and the pictures hanging up behind the couch. I thought out loud, "kids, you are driving me crazy!" To which Noah very excitedly replies "Yeah! We're driving me crazy, tooooooo!"
Jason has been working, working, and more working. Next week he'll be transferred to a 'new' branch. We are very excited about this move because of the potential that it brings...financially and career-wise. Jason, as always, has been a great help and a wonderful daddy. He can anticipate what needs to be done and knows when I need a break. He has not once complained (to me) about changing diapers or having to get up in the middle of the night. {Posey is still sleeping in our bedroom in the pack 'n play which is strategically placed on Jason's side of the bed :)} We both have been pretty pooped and so we go to bed super early these days.
I have been feeling great...well as good as you can after being pregnant for 3 straight years and then with little sleep trying to chase around 2 toddlers while carrying a sleeping newborn, all the while trying to keep up with laundry, house work, and school. Like I said, I feel great ;) I have lost 26 of the 40 pounds that I gained during my pregnancy. I unfortunately feel like I've hit a plateau. I really want to be exercising and enjoying the nice weather we've been having but getting 3 kids out of the house takes an act of God not to mention I just gave birth less than 3 weeks ago! In the meantime, I'll just be glad that I've gotten that much off!

Fall Comfort
Fall is my favorite season of the year and seems to be the time of year when all I want to eat is comfort foods. One thing that I can't seem to get enough of lately is homemade caramel corn. My mom made this for us growing up and it always hits the spot. It is light, sweet and salty all at the same time. Since I've made 3 batches of it within the last 2 weeks, I thought that some of you may want this easy and delicious recipe to try!
Caramel Corn
3 qt popped popcorn (I use an old fashion stove top popper)
Mix the following ingredients. Cover with plastic and cook in microwave for 4 minutes on high.
1/2 cup butter (melt on high for 1 minute)
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp salt
Add in:
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla
Pour over popcorn and stir until thoroughly covered. Cook on high (in microwave) for 2 and 1/2 to 3 minutes stirring after each minute. Pour onto greased cookie sheets to cool. Break apart and enjoy! YUMMMMMM!!
